Which one !!?

Choosing the right IR adapter for your PS3 can be a complicated task !
remoteONE have researched the features of many IR to BT Adapters on the market and have chosen the brands that we feel are the best value and have the best features.
These are also the adapters we fit to our custom insallation projects.

Here's a simplified method for selecting a PS3 IR adaptor for your purpose:

1. Do you want to Power-ON the PS3 with IR remote ?
      YES: You will need an IR to Bluetooth converter.
      NO: You could use an IR to USB solution like the PS3IR-X1, but they don't have the features on the IR to BT converters.   
2. Do you need to teach the IR codes to a learning remote?
      YES: Only the PS3IR-1000 is able to send IR to a Learning Remote via the USB port using the Schmartz PC utility.
      NO: You can look at cheaper alternatives.
3. Do you need control the PS3 directly form your PC?
      YES: Only the PS3IR-1000 is able to send Bluetooth commands via the USB port using the Schmartz PC utility.
      NO: You can consider cheaper alternatives.
4. Do you ever fully power down the PS3 and adapter (or is the power always left in standby)?
      YES: Get the RE-BL.or the full featured REBL-X
               I use this on my own system as I completely power down my Home Theatre System when not in use.
               They are battery powered when on standby and will not loose pairing after full power down.
      NO: You can look at other alternatives, but the REBL is a reliable box regardless.
5. Are you on a really tight budget?
      YES: You could use a PS3IR-500 but it does not have PS3 power sensing and will just keep track of
               the PS3 power state by internal flag.
      NO: Select either the PS3IR-1000 or the RE-BL based on questions 2. and 3. above.
6. Do you wish to program your our macros to perform a sequence of tasks for the PS3?
      YES: Both the REBL classic and REBL-X and PS3IR-1000 can be user-progammed with custom macros.
      NO: Select either the PS3IR-1000 or the RE-BL based on questions 2. and 3. above.
7. Does your project require an IR repeater as well as PS3 control?
      YES: The REBL-X can be used as an IR Repeater to distribute IR to all the system devices.
      NO: Select either the PS3IR-1000 or the RE-BL based on questions 2. and 3. above.
